DARK ART TATTOOS IN AMSTERDAM

FREEHAND RITUALS BY ROT_PRIEST

A dark art tattoo isn’t just an image it’s a ritual. A confrontation. A transformation. I don’t tattoo horror. I tattoo truth. Through symbols pulled from the occult, from dreams, and from death itself, I help you wear your shadow like armor.

WHY DARKNESS?

People come to me for skulls, blades, gravestones.

But what they’re really asking is:

“Can you help me show what I’ve survived?” Yes. That’s exactly what I do. Darkness isn’t evil, it’s ancient. It’s where you burn what no longer serves you. The tattoo becomes the scar you choose.

⛧ SYMBOLS THAT CARRY WEIGHT

Dark art tattoos aren’t just visuals, they’re messages. I work with symbols that speak without explanation. They come from loss, rebellion, and the need to mark what matters.

- Gravestones. A tribute, a memory, or a warning. Sometimes it’s about who died. Sometimes it’s about who you had to become.

- Skulls. Not for shock, but for truth. They strip everything away. What’s left is real.

- Pentagram. Not satanic, but protective. It stands for grounding, spirit, and resistance.

- Words inside. names, phrases, mantras, power lines. All hand-drawn, all custom. Lettering with weight.

- Swords, ravens, broken angels. They show up too. Each one chosen for a reason.

I don’t decorate. I mark. If it ends up on your skin, it’s because it means something.

MY PROCESS: FREEHAND & FLOW

For dark art, I sometimes use stencils but I prefer freehand.

Why? Because your tattoo isn’t a copy. I draw directly on the skin, guided by your energy and anatomy.

What that means:

-Ultra-fine lines and brutal contrast.

-Needle choices tailored for shadow, texture, and depth.

-Session pacing aligned with your nervous system.

You bring the story. I bring the vision. Together, we make something raw, real, and untouchable.

WHO IT’S FOR

This isn’t for everyone. But if you’ve been through something... If you carry stories no one else sees... If you want a tattoo that isn’t pretty but powerful... Then you already know you’re in the right place.

Let’s give your story a symbol.

Book your session via email, DM me on Instagram, or Walk-in. if fate allows…

People also ask

Are dark art tattoos evil?

No. Dark art tattoos aren’t evil, they’re misunderstood.

They deal with themes like death, grief, rebellion, and transformation. What looks dark on the surface often comes from healing, not hate. It’s not about worshipping darkness, it’s about owning it. “Darkness isn’t evil. It’s where truth hides when the world can’t handle it.”

What tattoos are used for protection?

Protection tattoos exist in every culture, ancient and modern. In dark art, we use symbols like:

-Pentagrams: grounding, spirit-over-matter, energetic protection.

-Daggers or swords: boundaries, willpower, psychic armor.

-Eyes (e.g., third eye, Eye of Horus): spiritual awareness and protection from unseen forces.

-Ravens: messengers between worlds; guardians in many mythologies.

-Sacred text or names: written intention, power words.

The meaning doesn’t come from the symbol alone. it comes from why you choose it. “A tattoo doesn’t protect you like a shield. It protects you like a mirror. by reminding you who you really are.”
